This is Clarrissa Kaiyah. She’s one of my older characters and predates both Summer and Benign, but I haven’t drawn her in a long, long time.

Like any of my older characters, she’s gone through several different incarnations. I think she was originally a Sonic-like adventurer, but with a more innocent personality. Later, I had her in some story where she was part of a Dark Legion-like group, and later rebelled because she had a good heart. At one point she was sort of a generic hipster.

Today, she’s the bass guitar player for a rock group called Hillroarer. She’s kind of the “odd man out” in the group for several reasons. She is the youngest member (in her early twenties). She joined the group by answering a newspaper ad, and had no previous connection with the members (who are pretty tight-knit). She had a failed relationship with the lead guitarist, which nearly led to the group breaking up. And the rest of the group thinks she’s just…odd. (But they like her anyway.)

She’s a mixture of several species, including rabbit, fox, cat, and possibly something else. She also follows an unusual mixture of spiritual beliefs, probably influenced by Buddhism, Hinduism, and earth religions like Wicca.
I’m sure she tries to practice both the physical and philosophical aspects of Yoga. In this picture, she’s either coming into or going out of a Yoga pose.

Clarrissa doesn’t particularly care what others think of her. She’s quite independent-minded when it comes to her own decisions, but she is not stubborn. She’s willing to compromise for the sake of peacefulness and group harmony.
