Yeah, I had took a break during the time.
Since it was black Friday we wanted to take the dogs out early (5am) so traffic didn't disturb them later. At the time we took the dogs outside unknowingly our landlord had moved a few things around without notifying us which led to them getting out. (We were outside with them), and of course some idiot left their car parked in the driveway for the landlord so we couldn't get out at all, we walked around for hours before he finally got there to move the vehicle. We had managed to find Apollo first, we even went to the pound and gave them our number and posted on craigslist. Finally we got the call from the pound about a deceased husky on the highway. Worst thing ever to hear, he was hit by a car and passed away, the person who struct him left him there and didn't bother calling anyone/service.
I am beyond happy to be out of that house, and away from the landlord. It was both our fault and his for not checking properly/communicating. We now take Apollo out to parks/beaches even to ones I've never been to, we know not seeing his brother has been probably as hard as it has for us so we've been trying to do a lot more bonding time. The house we moved to has a lovely yard, he gets to go out and play whenever (no more waiting for the landlord to leave). The neighborhood has lots of dogs, and he's seems so much happier and playful again. Diesel was absolutely amazing and I am so honored to have had him in my life.
