Just completed, after fighting off a minor bug for the last week.
All I wanted to do, or had the energy for was sleeping most of the day.
So this took a while to complete.
Its the brother of the bowie I showed some progress pics of earlier this year.
Currently for sale on the armour archive.

I have a sheath option of $35 for this one.
By "old timey patina", do you mean an oxidized finish?
The blade is made from carbon steel and will age and darken naturally with time.
I have never tried to do a deliberately aged finish, but I know a few ways to do the effect.
Mostly, its just a matter of light acid washes to dull and etch the surface.
Just cutting meat and cheese with the blade, taking care to wipe it down to prevent rust will give it that kind of look after a while.
I would prefer not to age the blade before its sale though.
I do tell folks that if you don't want a polished and bright surface, just rub the blade down with green scrubby pads.
That will give you a satin finish quite quickly, and it can be touched up the same way if it rusts.

Can't really do something like that right now, sorry.
The bowie sold...And I've already been hit for a couple of commissioned knives.
Its weird.
I never hear from anyone wanting specific work done until I sell a piece- Then I tend to get several inquiries at the same time.
My leatherwork tends to be sturdy, but very, very plain.
I don't really make decorative stuff, so I would actually be the wrong person to ask for a nice sheath for something.
I'll be busy with what I have on my plate for at least a month though, no matter what.
