nnnghh I'm so exhausted from working on this. There's some continuity errors and shots I just did not have time to finish/fix, but I hope it's readable. I'm going to have it cleaned up and finished by the end of next semester (I hope!)
I took out the sound effects cause they were out of sync, but if you want to see it with sound effects, here's the youtube link. (the music even ends WAYYYY before it's supposed to, but you get the idea, it's just crappy stock music)

God I hope I uploaded all of this right, I spent like 13 hours in the animation lab and 2 hours after that cutting all the shots together.

Like I mentioned on the prior upload of the link - while the ending is contrived of some of the most repeated themes in cartoons, they're oft repeated because it's wholesome, moral, and just sacrin sweet. The character looks to be fairly original in the echelon of tiny, adorable little critters.
I just hope one of the issues you work on is his height, relative to other items in the scene: the store window, the door, and then the people, twice.

But you're right, there are some continuity errors that I'd need to address; but most would be easily fixed with just a redraw of the background/prop
It's so hard to notice these things until you cut the whole thing together.
Also thank you for the nice and honest critique, it means a lot

I can't get over how well this looks, even as just the sketch form of it. I love how bouncy and fluid the character is, the way he bends and how his ear flitter at certain times. I loved it when we went all big eyed while looking at the lolli xD The way he interacts with the objects around him too is very realistic (in a cartoony sort of way). In all I really really like this, I can't wait to see it all finished - neat and trimmed x]
Thank you, coming from you it means a lot. Honestly I'm really glad I worked with my one professor during the conception and keying stages, my other professor (who is much more critical) would have forced me to make too many changes I wouldn't have got as much done.
It's so difficult to truly "see" an animation when you yourself have created it. I have no idea if it makes sense, if the story flows, or if the character is believable at all.. all I have to go by is your guys' comments, so it really means a lot! Thank you.

Impressive work, and lot of it here. The character is certainly believable, seems distinct in personality, and it comes across in the movement very well. I think the skidding to a stop then opening the door has to be my favorite part of this whole thing. That little fellow seems so alive right there.
haha i actually finished it if you're curious!
