Trainee Handler Caleb GOLDFUR plays with his chimera. Rex is a hatchling landrunner dragon of an unusual bright gold color. Landrunners have large stiff feet with claws for added traction. The limbs are extremely long compared to the body, giving them a huge stride although the spine is very short. Landrunners tend to have a bounding gait rather than a smooth run, making them awkward to ride without a saddle. However, they are much more agile than other mounts while retaining a rider.
