While the price is high for the armature I'd like to remind people he's actually losing money with every one he produces. As it costs more to make one than he sells it for. (and if you buy it in pieces and put it together yourself, its $15 cheaper)
Add to that that he often offers coupons for discounts it's usually a pretty sweet deal (that and lots of contests you can enter to win one) He'll also be making the armature injection molded hopefully before the year is out which will make it more affordable. Though parts on that will be limited at first and most custom pieces will still be 3d printed.
