A tribe had death sentence, but that changed with the new age; they replaced the gallows with a bell which rang every time a prisoner was to be executed. After the five-minute ringing, the prisoner was stripped of all clothes and possessions, branded with a tattoo or a high-temperature branding stamp, and then exiled in the wilderness.
