Yeah the Highland Regiment has been around a long time, regiments such as 'Black Watch' were merged with other Scottish Infantry Battalions to make the Royal Regiment of Scotland. Regiments still have there name but they are now all part of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
Some examples of Highland Regiments are 'Gordon Highlanders' and the 'Black Watch' who fought in the first and second world war.
