More of what I've been up to, building bikes of course! With the other double frame bike basically out of commission now (need a new, stronger extended front fork) I've used some of what I had lying around to build this. With some minor tweaks since this picture was taken like tightening the chain up and lowering that darn middle seat post, I've built another project double frame bike! Here's a basic rundown of what we have here:
-The front frame is from an old low rider
-The Back frame is a 20" mountain bike
-drilled a hole straight through the mountain bike, then threw an axle in for the back wheel bracket of the front frame to sit on
-Linked a few spare chains together, threw an 18" coaster wheel on the back and 20" on the front, the front fork being straight from the mountain bike.
Of course this setup will be revised and edited eventually, but for right now this makes a strong, comfy and quick bike. I hope to make it a wee bit longer and lower, and generally more aesthetically pleasing. However with fall now in full force that'll probably have to wait til next summer.
