This was one of the last pieces I did for the Equine Art eXchange before school devoured me for the semester.
The character's name is Ezhno and he's an Eohippus if I'm correct, one of the predecessors of the modern horse.
Ink and watercolor on printmaking paper. I'm rather happy with how the paper took the watercolor and might use this technique in the future.

Thank you. In this case it was the species of the character I was chosen to draw for the exchange (secret-santa type of an art exchange, there's quite a few of them on livejournal.com). Other than that, no particular reason. I have to say it was interesting trying to figure out the three-toed thing, though.
The German programs in learning for a job are state of the art in the world. Here its normal for us..but outside of Germany we get very well paid because of it. I have been in training, management, basic veterinary, teaching and breeding. All that is included in it ^^
I am thinking about studying horse science for further experience as soon as I move to the states.

I think it will...the DoD will take care of most of the problems which might aper for us. My problem is that I would have to use the University of Phoenix per example because we will have to move every three or four years. So I will have to figure something out for my future planes. The good thing is that my "Ausbildung" already counts as a bachelor degree which makes it a little bit easier I hope. We will see.
I think there are a couple two year and maybe a four-year degree that are online, but I don't know about Masters and such. Granted, I think a Masters is usually two to three years on top of a Bachelors and a Doctorate is often two to four after that (and you don't have to have any of them from the same university either). Any way it goes, best of luck! Passion and determination can take you a long way.
Thank you! Most of the colors were layered to some extent in order to create more rich tones. I hardly use strictly "from the tube" colors anymore to tell the truth no matter the medium. I've also been working on "grounding" my work a bit more, using backgrounds, etc. to help solidify it rather than just leaving it floating in space.
