...at the head of a long line of feasters sat a woodland king with a crown of leaves upon his golden hair, very much as Bombur had described the figure in his dream. Th elvish folk were passing bowls from hand to hand and across the fires, and some were harping and many were singing. Their gleaming hair was twined with flowers; green and white gems glinted on their collars and belts; and their faces and their songs were filled with mirth.
The feasting people were Wood-elves, of course. These are not wicked folk. If they have a fault it is distrust of strangers. Though their magic was strong, even in those days they were wary. They differed from the High elves of the West, and were more dangerous and less wise. For most of them (together with their scattered relations in the hills and mountains) were descended from the ancient tribes that never went to Faerie in the West. There the Light-elves and the Deep-elves and the Sea-elves went and lived for ages, and grew fairer and wiser and more learned, and invented their magic and their cunnig craft in the making of beautiful and marvellous things, before some came back into the Wide World. In the Wide world the Wood-elves lingered in the twilight of our Sun and Moon, but loved best the stars; and they wandered in the great forests that grew tall in lands that are now lost. They dwelt most often by the edges of the woods, from which they could escape at times to hunt, or to ride and run over the open lands by moonlight or starlight, and after the coming of Men they took ever more and more to the gloaming and the dusk. featuring her character Tiki as a lady elf of the Woodland Realm...also known as Mirkwood. Her attire is based off of the armor worn by the Mirkwood soldiers in the Hobbit movies, and the background is based a bit more off the Mirkwood biome in the Minecraft mod we all play. I made icons out of these for you Fen and Tiki, just note me with the email you'd like them sent to. :3

I've been at work all day and haven't gotten the chance to comment on this yet, but HERE I AM, AND HERE IS A COMMENT.
This is bloody gorgeous. When Fen said he was buying me something, I had no idea what it was going to be. When he finally told me what it was (he's so bad at keeping secrets, lol) I freaked out.
Getting another piece by Luthien? Aw, yesss!
I don't know what I love most about this piece to be honest. The owl is obviously one of them, but I also love the hair and the armor. The background is great, too. Sooo many things... I don't know if I could list all of them!
Anyway, thank you for making this gorgeous work of art and for capturing my and Fen's characters so well. You never disappoint us. <3

^u^ You're very welcome, as I told Fen, thanks so much for giving me such a fun concept to work with. You guys know me and Tolkien stuff, and when it ties in Minecraft then it's even better. lol Both of these were a lot of work, but also a joy to try and make sure all the details were correct. My perfectionist side really kicked in. hehe
