With video games and other things in my life being lost due to my sight continuing to go away, I've elected to replace what I can't enjoy with items I can enjoy.
I sold off MAGIC: The Gathering cards that I had left that were of any value to acquire this shirt. The goal is to, as with Ducky, show my artistic appreciation for Yoshi by wearing the shirt and allowing others to know me for who I am and my interests beyond just wearing strange glasses and carrying a white cane.

It's truly amazing how we all get our respective starts before getting caught up more than we'd ideally like.
I learned from Dr. Wolf, the Brony Analyst, how popularity has the price of giving everyone you'd like to the attention you want to. This is where you ask yourself whether-or-not recognition on a larger scale is worth it? You get lots of people to love you, but to return the love is difficult. And, for those who really want to be your friend, you can accidentally hurt feelings when it is really you just need time to yourself.

This shirt, like the Ducky shirt, are all a part of my "Replacement Therapy" to maintain my sense of self when I can't see the art anymore. Being able to have the art displayed on me will certainly help others know me for more than the guy with the white cane. :)
And, yes, the bonds of friendship we've built was definitely a strong driver in me choosing this particular shirt. Red Bubble is pricey, but their shirts can take many a wash and keep coming out strong. And, in the end, I can always keep the shirt as an artistic memory when it no longer wearable. :)
