this is actually 2 drawings, one is from July but not posted (I think), coloured now, of the animal, right is an anthro idea based on it.
It's a species of mammalian predators living in cold, forested areas. It is originally inspired from tigers but now also bears. They only have one sex but their external reproductive organs look female - observers were initially confused that there did not seem to be any male animals*. They reproduce by rubbing their vulvas together and ejaculating on the orifice, the gametes will then have to swim through the birth canal to fertilize. Both partners then have a few cubs which they rear on their own with the usual aggressive offspring protection seen with bears/tigers. It's a big and strong animal.
*=I know I am not the first to suggest this, but it works with a number of features I'd like the creature to have. And yes, it's very inspired by my fursona.
There are a lot of details I am not so settled on, like the shape of its face (trying to avoid a Sergal snout though x3). The proportions are not very good, especially on the anthro
Maybe there will be subspecies of elf who work like this too since they are related to the other mammals on their world.
