I'm doing quite a bit of drawing for work's Christmas theme at the moment, although most of it isn't good enough to upload here. This one, however, is pretty nice.
One of Santa's reindeer is resting before the start of the hectic Christmas season. ^_^

Alright I don't be downing your self with your art work what maybe not good to you does not mean that for ever one on FA. So show your work and be proud of it. Yes I will agree this is a good peace of art. (snuggles you and say take it ease and don't be harsh on your self.)
Wow, thanks for that. Although in this instance I really wasn't being too harsh. Most of what I've done for work have been simple snowman drawings and some birds. They are most emphatically not the sort of intricate pencil work I normally upload. I might scan and upload some of the birds after Christmas, if I feel that they are good enough. But we'll see.
I'm pleased that you like my reindeer, though! ^_^

So a bit of fun for you and me. I was wondering how a man who gave money to the poor ended up with reindeer. And since I can, I looked it up: The names (Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen) first came from Twas the Night Before Christmas which is also know as A Visit from St. Nicholas in which he completely made them up. Rudolph didn't come until the song (also why a reindeer with a glowing nose instead of a lamp on his antler or something?). It seems that before that, Santa was rather vague or there were a lot of different views of him. Basically, since then everyone's conformed to the view of the poem.
So which reindeer is he here's a quiz: http://www.quizopolis.com/santas_reindeer.php which you are not in the least obliged to do.
Lesson done.

Wow, well done you! He would be Dancer, although I didn't really feel that any of the question were really arrogant enough to reflect his personality... At work, we took A3 copies of the original drawing and now we have 3 on our walls. No wonder he looks so arrogant, when everyone stops and admires him on their way past...
Haven't commented your pictures in a long time. Or does it just feel long? Anyway, this is a nice picture, I like the realism in it. And I am again amazed by your drawing skills, because... the picture is just lines on the paper... and when I look it... it's a reindeer!
Sehän on oikeasti iso eläin! Mutta, kaunis piirros.
Great picture, I have to say. Very lifelike. Good work.

I haven't drawn much in a while, so you haven't had much to comment on. I hope your Christmas and New Year went well. I'm also pleased that you like the drawing, it was just meant to be a simple reindeer head for a jokey poster, but I got rather carried away...
I often encountered the same problem in Lapland as you did. Herd of reindeer on the road and approaching cars have no effect on them. They'll move when it pleases them. A bit like the New Forest ponies in, you guessed it, the New Forest...

Christmas was peaceful, New Year was New Year, hopefully your holidays went well as well. As I'm in university, I'm blessed with a long Christmas holiday, I'm back to school on 7th of January. Ah, back to work. Holidays are nice but they get a bit boring, at least for me...
Thank you, you're welcome and everything good.

I really can't see how anyone could be bored during a holiday. I rarely get bored. There are so many things to read (I love buying books and I have books I'm dying to read on my shelves.) and lots of stuff to draw and write about. But my holidays went well, although I was so very tired I didn't really enjoy Christmas much. But I feel better now, having had a long rest. ^_^
