Here’s a sneak peek of a character who appears in the upcoming chapters of Serpent Song. Gomekh, your local butcher/blacksmith.

Gomekh is a large Tuhaakh with a distinctive underbite (a rare feature among his people). He works as both a butcher and a weapon-smith, using two sides of the same shop for both businesses. His weapons are as reliable as his steaks are delicious. Despite his trade, he’s a very gentle soul. One of Chuz’s few friends.

I named him after Gomek, the massive Salt Water Crocodile I saw at the St. Augustine alligator farm when I was little. He was famous for his tremendous size and for being especially tame by crocodile standards.
