Winter gets a bad rep. People complain about the cold. They don't like how the snow lengthens their commute. They long for the buttery rays of the summer sun.

Codex doesn't mind the darkest months of the year. It's cold and snowy, yes, but it's also still, and serene. The land and the animals living in it are sleeping, quietly awaiting the return of the warmth of the sun. When she walks in the snow, she walks alone. She welcomes the silent solitude, and revels in the feeling of being alive in the face of the cold elements.
