I can see a lot of emotion in this picture and the picture ifself is really impressive, I love the use of blue fire and the black rings. Creates a feeling not just of evil but coldness as well, like something out of Wrath of the Lichking.

You guess really good, this character is actually a fire sprite, his power is lead to his emotions and he mostly lost his control over his power when negative emotions take over, blinding him until his own power consummate him and turn him into a monster. XD

I could see the flames absorbing heat and light rather then creating it. The blue and the black, not to mention the fogy border just create a sense of "cold" while the black looks not just evil but kind of like metal too which adds an artificial touch, cold steal replacing the warmth of life. I can tell a lot of thought was put behind this peace, everything in it seems to come togeather quite nicely. :)

Damn, this is all kinds of epic. Those blue flames are mighty. :3
