The eye shines add an extra 'lifeness' to the character, and makes them look a lot cuter and more approachable

As everyone else has already said, the shine looks great! Definitely makes Eddie look more lively and cute. :) Biased opinion, perhaps, as Kaynus has eye shine as well. :P
