HIII! Sadly we won't be going to that one. Right now, we're trying to save up for our wedding...so it's very possible that we won't be going to any cons until after the wedding. [our wedding will be in april 2016]

But you will have LOADS of fun even if you don't have a suit. And it may give you some awesome ideas for when you do get one!

awww what a nice story. yes i know how that is some what. i meet furs on FA or face book mostly FA and we meet at a fur con and it's like wow. have fun hanging out. or some times it's the other way around where i meet friends at a fur con and i'm like you have a FA then become better friends like you and me for example.

i met you at anthroCon 2003 and i was like you have a FA and puff better friends so yay.

Hey Kat. Recently if you read my latest journal you would know I was a bit down recently and a bit teary due to suit envy because of some maker was leaving me hanging because I was expecting a quote at least to have my suit made by this person so I could have a bit of a financial goal working towards having my own fursuit made by this mob and I was like *grr. and it affected my entire family because I was so frustrated on not at least spending the day as a fursuiter myself or anything close to that. It's a long story Kat. Trust me I was so upset and to rub salt into the wounds my parents had forbidden me to be something I want because of some stupid reason. If you read my journals you would understand what I'm on about so I got no needs to tell it in detail as I already have.
The point is Kat every time I see you, Zabu, JT or any suiter on YouTube cheered me right up and knowing you were on average a Grey Mussel at the time you got your only suit means I'm not alone. Also you were on the topic of the relationship between you and JT made me teary but it's of joy for the both of you. And herd you guy planned the date for your wedding to be on April Fools day. I said it once to you and I say it again. Congratulations for the both of you for the commitment of this calibre you have for each other. You are so adorable together. I hope you grow old and still be together and may the hist, the moons and everything with a higher power guide the both of you cats to having an awesome future together. *hugs both JT and Kat at the same time*

Hey hun *huggles* I understand fursuit envy all to well. Jt got his a year before I got mine....and...well I gotta be honest...I was super jelouse! And i felt bad because it was about as rage inducing as it could get. Sometimes I'd be in tears!

I was having a suit made, but one thing after another kept coming up from the maker. At the time I was furious! [We had since made up and such.] Cons were very hard for me. While I Did have a great time, I found it hard to do anything with Jt. Every time we try to go out to do something, he'd get pulled away from me and well that was that.

I went with a different maker [the same one that did his suit] And well Now we have the Kat we know and love!

As for age? Hun i've known people much older than myself that never suited before and know does constantly. You're never to old, it's never to late to have the fun you desire.

Try not to be too hard on your parents. You're both in a unique situation. You want to be who you are, and that is good! They want you to be the best you can be, and that is good too.

But they do not understand the furry aspect. They know only what they may have seen on tv...they think it's weird...for many it's hard to wrap thier heads around the whole concept. I understand that.

My suggestion to you is to just keep being you. Save up for your suit and know that one day you'll be able to do this as you please. And while being envious is difficult not to do, try to channel that envy into ideas for your character and suit and how you'll perform in it ^_^

Thanks. Maybe I needed a heads up from an actual fursuiter like you. Maybe it takes someone like you to bring the light into the subject of my situation and I appreciate that. Maybe it's proof that the advise worth taking in to when it comes to stuff is the actual person doing it.
You telling me to pull my head in an snap out of this envy and save up and be patient for a quote to go though and what not. I do deserve it and I can't thank you enough besides this. *huge hugs back* Within this fandom I do see you as a great influence on me. I will bring what you said to me in mind. Wither it's off you or Zabu I do see you as role models. And I think I'm wise to give you a watch as you are smart and your not afraid to be honest and say things as it is. My parents told me the same thing but I think it will make more of an impact more coming from a real fursuiter. I promise you.
I wanted to be like you except as an argonian and have no intention to be hard on my parents. Anyway I think JT is a lucky bloke to getting married to a sweet, kind and huggable kitty like you and vice versa. You are so meant to be together and if you split for any reason I will be so upset for both of you. You meant to be together. IDK who planned your wedding to be on April Fools Day out of you guys but as I think as a tiger clown JT is I think he's the culprit. Nothing wrong with it or anything.
