Indeed, another sketchpage, again from the awesome  pac This will be the first in a series entitled A Look to the Future. We will catch up with the characters in 1954, sixteen years after the events of the story.

1. Henry and Sarah Mason on their fifteenth wedding anniversary. Granted, marriage between anthros and humans won't be legal until the 1960's, the human and rat had a private ceremony in 1939. They have a private dance on the roof of their apartment building in New York City.

2. Alex Mason, Sarah's son from a client at the Opal Club, grew up idolizing both his mother and adopted human father, Henry. To protect his son from potential danger, Henry trained him to defend himself. Young Alex also trained with Henry's colleagues in the League of Nations Security Agency. At sixteen years old, Alex learns knife fighting from Svetlana Martel, the 51 year old former Russian assassin.

3. Alex Mason spent a lot of time with Henry's friends growing up, including Renee and Svetlana Martel. He became good friends with their adopted daughter Anastasia. By the time they are teenagers, the two have developed a relationship. Here, the rat and iguana enjoy an ice cream soda, 1950's style.

4. You don't grow up with a former assassin and tunnel rat for parents and not learn a thing or two. Little Anastasia also grew up learning the skills of combat and espionage from her parents. Her father, Renee, teaches her about the inner workings of a standard fragmentation grenade.
