Hey everyone! Another rifle for the collection and dang is she a beauty, 14.5 inches of barrel, a supper smooth rack and very light! Almost a parts gun again, but more of a mash up from several projects which I have finally sorted out into one, the rail is from the up to now most recent version of Czarina. The gas block/ sight is from a rifle of my fathers, and the barrel is from a friend who needed cash and offered me a great deal.
The barrel is a Lightweight Contour Barrel in 5.56mm from Noveske, I believe they used to call this the "crusader" though why they got rid of their cool names for their barrels I have no idea. But an awesome barrel and I cannot wait to use it!.
Those of you who know something about Noveske, will know that they like to use a pinned 1" gas block on their barrels, and obviously the JP gas block front sight is about double that. well I took the old block off and put this one on, shimming the front clamp so that it would not wiggle, am not totally happy with the shim right now and will probably (when i find the time and money) make a custom shim that will work better.
The muzzle break (a surefire design which i got from another friend) is pinned and welded onto the end which annoyes the heck outa me because I am going to have to change it at some point to allow for a suppressor (whenever that happens). Good break overall but just not what I will need so expect a mod1 down the road and of course I am going to paint it at some point. though that may be a while as my mother has taken over my painting area (the garage) to redo some furniture.
The name was chosen for a friend of mine online who is a pillar of strength, someone to lean on when times are tough. I think it fits and when I do the paint job I shall try to find a way to reflect the autumn which her name means.
Will probably hold off on the list for now because a bunch is going to change in the future.

The Midwest is actually a copy of the troy trx (which this is) the alpha rail is lighter than both by a slight amount, though there are several similar rails which weigh a bunch less. I am not sure as of yet of total weight of the system, my scale is dead and need to take it in to work to weigh it properly
Older version of this chart, even: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet.....b?output=html#
Yep, the 13" alpha would've saved a few grams over the 12" SS, but this was a while ago and I couldn't find that information online. And that lighter tube was very skinny and requires their own gas block, which is sort of a deal killer. I'm not sure it was in production at that point in time.
Truth be told, I think I like the Alpha a bit better. But for as much as I can see, it hadn't yet been on the market when I built my current rifle, being debuted at the 2011 shot show and sold later that year. May have to revisit this build a bit, later. Maybe after I move and get started on a stamp collection.
