Here is the skull medallion I made for my last year ween of hallo costume. I took some scrap aluminum part from work and reshaped and painted it. I used a hand grinder and files to make it look like a skull as much as possible.
The overall shape of the original part reminded me of a skull and I took it from there. Lots of grinding to get it down and I was afraid of messing it up the whole way but feel I did a good enough job in the end. If I had time, I am sure I could have done a better job like making the eye sockets deeper. Maybe even added glowing eyes with red LEDs. But alas, I ran out of time as per my usual. The teeth could be better as well but for the time I spent on it, not too bad.
Just an accessory for the costume. I ended up turning it into a belt buckle, using some leftover leather straps I used for the vest I made. Still early but can anyone throw some guesses on the costume theme before I post the final pic of the whole thing?
