(Gift Art) Coyote's Version of "The Fox and The Scorpion"
(Gift Art) for
timid-wolf his character Kayko
(whats going on in the picture for those of you curious beyond a quick glance)
i was trying to draw drawing earlier without luck before spending four hours on this. it started as a result of a bit of art-burn-out when i poked a few skype people looking for last minute inspiration. an old well known friend and a new hardly known friend replied and wanted to come join me for a art stream. I tend to be generous but random in who i draw for and when, but i decided to draw something for them due to the muse and inspiration their company brought. the old time friend had recently posted a picture with a micro in a maw. it made me chuckles so i thought i would draw something similar. i always like to add a fun and unique spin or narrative to things. so i slowly formed a rough idea which was sort of parody gag on the story of the fox and the scorpion crossing the river. only in this instance it is the version of the same story in which it is coyote not fox. and my contribution for satire would be that instead of the scorpion it would be two micro fur and thus the treachery of the fable would be changed to that of coyote himself. thus coyote being a trickster would be friendly and offer such tiny creatures passage across the river but perhaps he may not be trusted to make it across safely. then again he may just like to tease his passengers a bit or maybe something more simple occurred such as the dragon wolf falling into the water and coyote only had his mouth to grab him before he drifted down stream. either way kind of makes this simple looking image all the more funnier when you add a story to it.
