Ironic how desperate Yoshi is to still pull off a joke amidst making such an uber-oopsie. Then again, some people are just terrible at coming back after making such a flub-up.

Perhaps, for Yoshi, he feels the only way to keep Mr. Raccoon from getting all sensitive is to distract him with ill humor? Better to be mad at him for a nose flick then deal with a wave of emotions that Yoshi is just not good, or wants to, deal with.

BTW: Good luck with those finals. I, too, found nearly every refuge possible to dodge their annoyance. We all need "sanity breaks."

I think there was actually a South Park episode based off of that! :3 Someone made it look like a whale was talking, so the kids broke it out of the aquarium - all through the episode he kept saying "It was funny! It was supposed ot be funny!" while making everything else worse. :B

I didn't put much thought into this part, but I think that sounds like a plausible answer! Though, if this hurts Mr. Raccoon's feelings even more, I hope he doesn't keep trying to be funny to make up for it. D:
