Topaz hurried up to the roof just as the moon hit it's zenith. She had gotten separated from Lauren after they had been attacked by an unknown group. She stopped, ears perked, as she sensed a presence. She was not alone. "I know you're there."

Without much warning, a spotted feline leapt out of the shadows and blinded her with a blast of light. Topaz held out a paw to block the attack she was certain had to be coming. A moment later the sound of a claw scraping against a barrier reached her ears. Once her vision had returned, she identified another feline that she did not know.

Bathed in moonlight Topaz cast a strong figure. She knew this individual was after her for some reason she could not identify. Questions would have to come later. Survival first.

Topaz blocked her next attack, a frustrated scream coming from the other cat. Barrier was a defensive art, but it was not limited to defense. She generated a field to push the other girl back several feet, and used her powers to create a bridge between rooftops. When the girl leapt across the gap, Topaz was certain she'd fallen to her death. Approaching the edge, a paw grasped the stone edge of the roof.

"Aw, shit," Topaz said.
