I went to the zoo today. I love the zoo! But I didn't get to see the giant anteater and it's baby :( They were inside. As were the hippo's, lemurs, several tropical birds etc. etc. because I chose one of the coldest days of the year to go. Most of them could be seen in their indoor cages though. I tried to draw, but I can't draw with a glove on my right hand and without a glove, my fingers went numb in no time. So I only managed to get about 15 pages of sketches.

All this has absolutely nothing to do with this, yet another still uncoloured, picture, which is of the lovely purple heron. I don't know about the rest of the world, but the purple heron is endangered in my country. We've got plenty of those blue-and-grey buggers, but this one is hardly ever seen. First in a series of 4.
