It never got cold enough to burst the pipes, I didn't have to go to work, and a friend of mine came up from New Orleans and everybody played in the snow, it was awesome.

Did it knock your power out too? It snowed during the early morning and we still have snow here, it's odd enough that we are getting snow here in Baton Rouge but the fact that it stayed all day is amazing.

heh stop yo bitchin, I'm buried in it every year up here, we even had an ice storm this year. We learned to deal with it.
1. shovel yourself out.
2. put salt on the ice so it melts.
3. almost everything gets canceled so go back inside.
4. make something nice and warm
5. curl up in a blanket, and do something fun (activities may vary)

But that was something that I haven't seen in my whole life here.

ya see we had a ice storm, then a snow storm, lots of people lost power, then it got just warm enough to rain on Christmas eve, then cold enough to cover everything in ice.
it looks beautiful but it's hard to drive on, so we have to salt the roads to melt the ice

I'm in South Louisiana, too. I didn't get snow, though. The snow stopped 3 miles north of where I work.

Well really I'm on the Northshore, but this is still South Louisiana to most people.
