That's right, this is the one and only crazy nasty honey badger who doesn't give a shit.
Contained in this 3 inch vial necklace is a claw and canine tooth from a naturally deceased African Honey Badger (also known as a ratel.) How did the badger die? I've no idea, but it was probably something like an atomic blast or a flame thrower since I doubt anything like old age or an angry lion could have done the job.
The claw and tooth have been cleaned and sterilized.
The claw and tooth rest on a bed of dried moss and are accompanied by a sprig of dry-preserved wildflowers, both collected and dried by me. A chip of african citrine gemstone is in there too. The claw came from a hind paw and the tooth came from the lower jaw.
The claw has been drilled at the end since I was originally going to string it on a chain, but otherwise it's perfect. It has been given a light gloss to bring out the natural color.
That's not all: hanging from the cork is a short length of gunmetal chain (circle links, all linked by hand) and on the end of that chain is a piece of real tea-stained Nubian Spitting Cobra vertebrae! Honey badgers are known for their partial immunity to snake venom and won't hesitate to prey on cobras (because they don't give a shit, of course) so it seemed like a fitting addition to the pendant. Predator and prey, if you will. :)
*Add a small feather accent for no extra charge, if you like. It will be wired to hang beside the cobra vertebrae. Specify black or white feather with your order.*
The vial hangs on a 20 inch black chain with lobster clasp. The vial itself is indeed glass, so it should not be handled by small children or anyone who says "here, hold my beer." The cork should not be removed to ensure preservation of the vial's contents.
is this a gift for someone? Let me know and I'll gift box it with a ribbon and personalized tag! No charge for this service. :)
USA sales only, all wildlife laws apply. Thanks for looking!
****NOTE: This item will not grant the wearer with cobra venom immunity****
