Got the finished base up on the mannequin head. Foam added to smooth and widen the jaw, polyurethane foam added in strategic spots, to replicate facial muscles and add a neutral friendly expression. Eyebrow bumps specifically made higher to create a line of demarcation once the fur goes on (Millie's face is split into quadrants of copper/black/copper with black spots) Ear bases are made, and tacked down to the head with pins. Outer ear pattern pinned in place to give a mock up of the final look...Though the ears look a touch small, this is partly due to the camera angle, and due to deliberate sizing to take note, that once fur is added they will look much larger. Appraising Millie's pattern in my mind, I expect at least forty separate pattern pieces to sew for the mask.
