Old State Route 24 south of Green River. I had done some satellite photo analysis and determined there a Vanishing Point shooting location could be found that no fan had yet documented with a contemporary photograph. This is an utterly desolate eight and one half mile remnant of old road bypassed by the current Route 24 built to interchange with Interstate 70. Even Google street view cars don't go there. But it remains open and passable while weeds and mud encroach from the shoulders, whittling the pavement down to one usable lane in many places. The road had seen some recent patchwork where culverts were washed out and rebuilt. There was no other traffic at all in either direction. The scenery was worth it, I wish I had the GoPro camera rolling on this drive.
