Man I remember a similar umh... statuary-icon .. at a beanery near Chambersburg PA East on Rt 30. It was hilarious in that it had two big 150 watt yellow 'Bug-Away- incandescent light bulbs for eyes. It was taken away about 1990, I wish I knew where, because I'd love to have it in my yard, kinda like a grotesque flamingo!
