Okay. So, having thoroughly lost my butane micro torch, I've been trying to resurrect this... thing. I've tried running it off a propane bottle, but at best I can get a miserable 1.5" narrow flame before it blows itself out; not good enough for my purposes, or any purposes really. I considered the possibility that it's intended for oxy-propane or oxy-acetylene, but there are a couple venturi holes at the base. The tip is 3mm, and the base features a flashback arrestor and a diaphragm with a barely visible pinprick to control the fuel jet. The head is marked "POL-2".
I haven't been able to find anything else like this that has venturi holes in it. What the heck is this thing, and what am I doing wrong?

I have something very similar to this, actually. An oxy-propane soldering torch, but it's a colossal piece of crap because the gas flow valves are so imprecise. I'd imagine this is similar, but propane only considering it has a venturi system. Perhaps try dripping some gun cleaning solvent through it to try to wash out any carbon buildup? Gadgets like these can be very useful for very precise brazing tasks that can't be completed with a hot iron.
