Each time i see one of them trying hard to eventually go to college, it fills me with detemmination.

It makes no sense unless you played Undertale. And if you haven't played it yet, do it now! Not because you want to understand a bad joke or why all these characters suddenly swarmed the internet, but because it's just a darn good game in all regard! Don't be fooled by the simplistic screenshot, the game is much more complex than it looks. Definitely one of the most uplifting game i ever played, with plenty of smart twist and gimmick, and the gameplay is quite original as well!
And each time i play, i always pay for Temmie that costly college education without thinking...and yet i never touched the resulting armor...i'm an imbecile i guess!
And after all this time, No Temmie category on FA? For shame!

It's an rpg that just got released about 2 weeks ago. In term of mood it's like earthbound, bu int more silly and likeable. Althought it's an rpg, the combat almost play like a shmup with alot of gimmick thrown in, especially in boss fights! Althought there are random encounters, the monsters almost never repeats itself. And one main ppoint of the game is that you can complete the whole game without killing anyone, including all the bosses(not easy but doable), as for each monster you have different command you can input to interract with them(chat, hug, ignore, flex, wobble ect...) and the right combination allow you to get away without having to kill them. With all the sillyness that these commands comes with, it's actually funnier trying to find out what is the way to finish the battle peacefully instead of fighting!
There are lots of things i could mention, but they would all be spoilers. If you don't mind trying something different if you feel for something uplifting, this game is a sure winner and for 10$ it's a steal!

It's not so hard, there a certain object that makes you near invincible if you die too often, and althought there are some very hard boss battle, they are hidden away. Gameplay-Wise the game is more about variety than impossible challenge.
I hope it will eventually get to console, that game can easily become as popular as cave story was in the past!

Cool, glad that you liked the game! And yeah, the characters and dialogue really makes the charm of the game! And since they react to the smallest thing you do, it makes them feels even more alive!
And yeah, The Temmies they are dorkable/huggable indeed! Be careful thought, their village is hidden, so there's about 66% of chance that you'll encounter them! But they're not hidden very hard and there's a few clue to tell you when you're near!
