My first impression of Dorian was: What the fuck is that moustache, oh, he's actually really posh, his voice is kinda hot, but seriously what the fuck is up with that moustache it's terrible
but by the end it was more like: *SOBBING LOUDLY* LET ME LOVE YOU
Dorian quickly became one of my favourite characters in Inquisition, I feel like he and Iron bull were the two most 3 dimensional characters in the game that were specific to Inquisition and that made me really happy, This picture I also think portrays his vulnerability really well, which is something I feel like a lot of people glaze over when looking at his character

I don't understand the obsession people have with curly mustaches. Myself, being spanish, see it all the time in my family and no one thinks much of it.. :/ I don't see what's so "what the fuck" or terrible about a common style.
But thank you nonetheless, that's what I was going for. UvU

it's not something I generally find attractive on anyone, like ever, it's also not something you see that often out of very specific countries, it goes in and out of style, but still it's just. eh. There are very few people whose faces I think can pull off any moustache, it's not the "what the fuck" of a curly moustache it's "shave that caterpillar off your lip" for me, it's just not my thing.
That being said I made a lot more interesting comments on this post then my general dislike of moustaches or facial hair

My idea of interesting is character design and art that portrays personality, the art being of the character it has every bearing on the art. You're welcome, I just feel like there are now two people here zooming in on the least important and most light-hearted thing I said in a comment as if I've done something wrong.
It's a great thing that art comes in many varieties and such for interests. This artist is a friend of mine, who enjoys the face furs quite a bit. I dislike facial hair IRL because it makes me break out and itch like crazy.. but some of my art showcases some facial hair in some form or another as well.
Art is subjective and not about tailoring itself to the interests of specific people, it begins with artists wishing to share what they create with others. Some may like it, others may not. Just how it goes! If people really wanna go WTF about a curly'stache.. maybe you should google some dudes down in texas and nevada, those ol' ranchers some of them have gigantic antenna attached to their faces.
These slight curls or short 'stache styles aren't horrible in any way.. They're nice and classy.

Okay, I don't mean to come off as abrasive, but you seem to be defending points that are irreverent to my comments
I never told Smooshkin what to draw, so the tailoring comment came out of nowhere, I'm allowed not to like moustaches, and they expressed their confusion at my comment, so I explained.
I don't really want to go "WTF" about any curly 'staches and I am well aware of the quirks of the Southern United States, facial hair included, the comment about the moustache was made as a comedic light hearted way to say that I didn't feel any draw to Dorian as a character until later in the story line after getting to know him better, in fact, I've come to /like/ his moustache even though I generally dislike facial hair as I think it's uncomfortable and I like to see the person's face under it. Exceptions or not my opinion does not and should not have any bearing on the art, it is just something that came up due to the nature of the character.
I went on past the comment about coming to like Dorian later to comment on why I like this piece, which has been mostly ignored and brushed off so I am understandably a little irritated that I'm getting backlash for having an opinion on facial hair and happened to mention it in a comedic light.
I have made many comments on Smooshkins work both on FA and DA(for me anyway, since I rarely leave comments) about the beauty of the work and technical skill as well as characterization and personality but apparently my opinion of moustaches is far more interesting
