In the manner of FA's resident music admin/character composer, I decided to try my own paw at writing a portrait of a fellow fur.
rhagien has been a very dear friend to me for almost a year now, and as he's been a major help to me recently in times of need, I thought this would be the least I could do in repayment. So, my good friend, consider this your Christmas present, if a bit early.
(As a side note, not counting a bit of recorded improv, this is the first original composition I've actually completed and uploaded in about two and a half years.)
UPDATE:
rekhit wrote a paragraph inspired from this piece, which can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4387429/

Fast, eh? Hurm...and this is after I slowed it down from 120 to 112. XD I know what you mean about the MIDI sound, though...that unnatural taint really comes through with the French Horn patch, which is partly why I didn't use it as much as I initially planned. I've been having problems with my sampling program, or else I would have considered using Horn samples instead of a MIDI patch. Oh, well. Glad you still liked it! :D
I'm speechless.
I have been sitting here for three minutes now, staring at the blank reply box. I had better write something.
This has caught me quite off-guard. I am deeply honored, and flattered, that I would have a piece dedicated to me by my favorite bear and composer both. Truly, my ears are as red as my eyes, at this moment.
The piece is rich and beautiful, and I would expect nothing less from you. I hardly think myself deserving of such a wonderful and heartfelt gift. It is my sincere hope that I may continue to be as pure as you must see me.
I am profoundly moved. Thank you, Malcolm.
