I think about going on Larps with my second suit, too, once it's finished.
And since it's gonna be modular, there's no problem in giving it another outfit.
Say hello to Toivo Rauhala, a Sami Noaide apprentice (Sami ≙ from Lapland, Noaide ≙ Sami Shaman/Druid/Healer/...), traveling through the world to find his focus and learn what there is to learn.
First time with Polychromos, and I think I'm still able to draw with RM after a looong time.
Sketch done with pencil, scanned and then printed with Laser printer (I feared I'd ruin the sketch), colored with Polychromos and re-inked with thiiiin Ink-Fineliner. Re-scanned and digitally colorcorrected.
Hope you like it!
Jojo
PS: Yes, the hand holding the bird is strange. I did not bother correcting it :P
PS2: No, you don't see his tail.
PS3: There's a full-size download on my dA-Account.

wow, very nice looking cat. Great clothing, I like the little bundles on his belt. The belt could use a more visible clip holding it together. Cute feet, I like how he's standing in a mid walk pose as it shows his feet in two angles. Cool ankle bands on his pants, nice selection of colors too. Clothes are a pain to design. Very colorful hat too. The left hand is decent, the right hand needs a bit more work. I do like the bird on it though. Skull on staff looks pretty good and shaman-y. Great work altogether : )
Thx a lot - that is a comment like I like them
The belt – once it's finished, you'll see it really has no visible buckle, it's closed on the inside.
The clothes – I didn't really design them, they are a combination of various parts of the real traditional Sami costumes, so the praisse goes to them. They do amazing things, even more colorful ones!
Right Hand – yeah, I know. I always have problems with hands, if I can't look at the pose when I do it with my own. 't was kinda hard with that one :P... and after 3 unsuccessful tries to sketch it I just left it like it was.
Again, thanks for your kind comment!

Thanks a lot! The marking around the nose should be goldenish-yellow though. ;) I already made him/me/whatever into a fursuit, although with british hunting clothing, which was the first outfit I thought about. The sami costume will follow when I have the time and money to make it =^.^=

Now you make me almost jealous! ^_~
And thx then even more for your confirmation that the wild mix of styles of clothes does still work for someone who's able to look at "the real deal" much more closely. In fact, I've only been to southern Finland and Norway as of yet unfortunately, so all I had for reference were photos
Will you attend ef?
