SOme people have put their stuff on a personal webpage with a passwoord that is only sent to the patreons Maybe that will help

If it indeed was a Patreon hack it would solve it... At the very least this provides some more security indeed.

Or via sending emails with the attachments, which can easily be set up as well.

That's the thing, it IS a patron that is leaking things, and I can't tell which one is it.

So, I'd be sending the password to patrons, and among them, the leaker.

I thought this was an easier solution to that.

 furryrevolution has been dealing with this issue in his image-paks for years, I think he's gone WAY overboard in protecting his stuff, like invisible-watermarking differently each pack he sends to paying customers, so when it (inevitably) leaks he knows exactly who did the leaking and he can never give them a thing again. If there's few enough patrons... I dunno, it just sucks but he might be someone to talk to for various ideas on how to combat this.

That indeed, but since the very beginning, the comic was meant to be free for everyone. I just had this early pages thing on Patreon to give people something back for supporting me in making the comic.

So, since the pages are going to be released eventually, I decided it's easier to not allow people to leak them.

If it were a paid comic, then yeah, I would've taken a totaly different approach to it.

curious if the current patrons are still going to support anyways... hope so, my attitude in supporting is "because it's a worthy cause" rather than "because I wanna get something", no idea what % those break down to though.

Dude unfortunately this is the Internet and this is a popular comic. Things eventually will get spread around and leaked. I won't do a Patreon because I accept the fact that leaking material is just bound to happen

Yeah, although my Patreon was more for people to support the comic, since it's free and all those pages would've been released eventually.

It just sucks to see that there are people who just NEEDS to ruin the fun for everyone.

Sorry to hear about the twats who leaked your shit. Unfortunately you can't trust many people, especially on the internet, to keep things secret or safe until release. Smae things happen to video games like RockStar a lot of their stuff gets leaked cause people know how to get those codes and find them out and stuff.

I love the comic, I am sorry but I cannot afford to patreon it due to my minimum wage jobs, so I can oly really do commissions occasionally even. Back to the comic, I like the characters, was a little to understand with Edward at first but it is well written, art is great, course being the fox that I am I kinda hoped for more than a kiss between those two lol, then again it probably wouldn't make sense and I am sure you have the story all figured out in a plan right now anyways. Do love the sheaths you drew though, lol xP

sorry to hear about what happened to your pages dude. isn't there a way that this can be fixed so it won't happen again? like explaining to your patrons or trying to get the sites they were on removed? honestly that's almost 2 months worth of updates, tops...

It was a fake/scammer patreon who did this.
Deleting/banning him or her won't stop them from creating another account and repeating the cycle.

Hi. I know I haven't said anything but I've been watching your comic and enjoying it for about 2 months now. It's really great work but you hear that a lot. So instead of just gushing more praise, I'd like to offer my thoughts on your decision to post all this because of thieves.

I'm a professional media artist and a long time comicker myself and I've been doing art online since '98 in some form or another and offline for much longer. What I have learned is, if it's out there, someone will take it. This doesn't mean you can't defend yourself! If they repost your content on a board, you can contact that board and demand it be taken down and not allowed anymore. They legally have to do that. You can threaten legal action if they don't comply. If someone is using y0our characters or copying your work, you can also ask them to stop. It's your legal right.

When you give up and post it all because some asshole decided to punch a hole in your posting schedual, what you really do is encourage them to do it again. A lot of us are honest, and will respect you and your release times. We'll still donate if we were going to, and believe it or not, not as many people will see your work on those chan boards as you think. A large portion of people don't visit those boards and really, things dissapear off them so quick that the window of time your work is exposed in minimal, unless you are on of those superstar artists like rukis or zen or some such, then you have a bigger problem.

Trust yourself, stick to your system. I loved reading more of your work, but you don't need to let those assholes ruin the fun for you. Stick to your guns, evwen if others don't. Some of us will respect you for it. Infact, a lot of us will.

I agree with you there. But the thing is:

This is a free comic, those pages would have been released for free eventually, so releasing all of them now won't do me any real damage other than maybe losing some patronage on Patreon.
The biggest problem is that people create fake accounts on Patreon to steal these, and I don't get money from those fake accounts, so all they do is screw up accounting, since they are pledging fake money. So by posting all the pages now, I'm removing their need to create and use fake accounts on me, and hopefully that'll make accounting right again.

But yeah, if it was strictly paid content and whatnot, I would have taken much more severe action against them.
I decided to let it slip by this one time, but in the future, I might be so easy on them.

Thanks for your input on those matters, it was NOT an easy choice this one I've made, but I'm hoping things will get better now. But if it happens again in the future, I'm glad to know I can count on you for more advice and/or guidance with this.
