I saw the movie last week. The kid can really act; I'll give it that :P.

(Trivia: when they put Chucky in the fireplace, the kid refused to be in the same room as Chucky when he's being burned. That's because the kid is good friends with the midget who wore the Chucky costume in some of the scenes and he doesn't want to see the actor get burned alive. It's amazing what editing can do.)
