Aaaand that's a wrap...!
When we started a year and a half ago, both of us were like - hey, let's give this a try. Both of us had worked in the comic industry before and both of us knew this was going to be one of those projects that once we started, it was getting finished, come heck or high water.
Well, it's been a lot of heck (between moves and new jobs and health/family situations) but we're feeling pretty fantastic about having navigated the high water and completed the full first issue. We've had a great time sharing our world and our cast and crew with you, and we've appreciated every single comment, laugh, and question along the way! It's honestly been the thing that's kept us on track some days- you've all been super supportive! We've loved having people come up to us and ask us about the characters and you've all let us know the story has been downright awesome so far. Thank you!
So where do we go from here? Well, we have a lot to share with you all!
One of our goals from the very beginning has always been to produce a comic with high-quality printed issues available for a reasonable cost. We're old school; while we adore and personally read a lot of web comics, we truly like being able to have a physical copy you can keep and read and smush errant spiders with... well, maybe not the last one. Hopefully not the last one. If so, might want to buy a second copy for that purpose.
We've been doing a lot of research for both quality of print and pricing, and right now it appears that we'll have a price point of under ten dollars per issue for the quality we want. This will be for a full color comic at magazine size (8" x 11.5") with some bonus content available only in this edition.
So where are we at at the moment?
Both of us had a good long talk and decided we needed to take a brief hiatus to get a bunch of pre-production work done and go to a few conventions (woo, the book tour, haha!) before we swing into Issue #2.
So here's our list of things to do over the next several months:
1) Touch-ups and recoloring work on the first issue itself to get it ready for printing. Edits edits edits!
2) Assembling sketches and production art for a T10K sketchbook, which we hope to make available in print at the same time as issue #1!
3) Updating the main website with more information on the characters and the world itself. A few folks have been asking for that, and boy have we got a lot of fabulous data to arrange and upload for your perusal!
4) Storyboarding and developing all of issue 2 as much as we can before launching into production. We'll be experimenting with some new methods and processes to hopefully save us production time.
5) Producing assorted artwork including posters, prints, sketches, and character/reference model sheets (we've had them on the backburner for a while).
In the meantime we'll still be uploading things here and on the website to share with you awesome readers, so don't worry! We're not gone, just busy! We're looking to host a con presence to meet folks (and of course, to make some sales!), and during that time we'll be fully be in the midst of producing issue #2 for release in May 2016, where we'll be doing it over and over again for the next few years to come! Hooray!
So all in all, thank you everyone for helping us to make this happen! We wouldn't have gotten this far without your attention and support, so as a big thank you to you all, we're gonna keep going with this to the very end.
See ya folks later! T10K will be back soon for another incredible season next year!

Glad to have discovered you back on page... thirty, believe it or not. That was honestly the perfect time to just to randomly discover this comic... at least for me. I devour worlds for their cosmology, and that page was just perfect to wet my appetite.
I wish you good luck in printing and issue two... and who knows, maybe a fan fiction or two will be written while we are all waiting. It would certainly help to get it written before it's revealed Tracey has a girlfriend and son born out of wedlock or something. Not that Tracey would be shipped with anyone... nope, certainly not doing that... no sir ree.
...LOOK! A dancing cucumber! *flees*

Halfway thru ain't bad! I'm glad you've got a good appetite for that sort of detail, coz man we've got a lot...!
And speaking of fanfic, Kardi and I have a sort of betting pool going on over if or when T10K fanfic will appear. Kardi's betting on 'when' and I'm betting on 'if'. Okay it's kind of a nonsensical bet, but we're betting in M&Ms, so there's no loss and the winner shares their chocolate anyway. ;) If you want to help us win our bets, we think that would be AWESOME. <333
(That said, we're also concerned/afraid/morbidly curious about whether or not that first fanfic will be slashfic, normal fic, or just straight up porn. Does that box contain a dead or living cat? We don't know, we may not want to know, and yet we DO want to know. It's maddening.)

I can say that if I'm the one who completes the first fan fiction, it won't be porn. Whether if it qualifies as slash fiction or not depends on your definition of slash fiction. It's not what I'm aiming for, but I am aiming to tease the audience by intentionally being a hairline shot off from that... so I guess it depends on if my wrist flinches while I pull the trigger.
Of course, this is all dependent on if I'm the first to the finish line. I am NOT a fast writer, so it depends on if there is anyone else in the race.
