Sometimes, a city's just gotta be destroyed, and ya dun have time to mess around. Sometimes ya just gotta tear the whole place up as fast as you can, leavin' nothin' but a buncha piles of rubble 'n ash 'n smoke 'n pawcraters in a real quick jiffy before movin' on to the next place. But sometimes while that's goin' on, ya get hungry cuz you're burnin' like, a bazillion calories every minute you're rampaging, and ya need snacks. Findin' subway tunnels 'n stations is real helpful there, folks all bunch up for easy chomping, but sometimes they jump outa the way juuuuuuuuust far enough so that ya can't quite reach 'em, but ya dun have time to carefully pick the place apart to hunt down every lil snack and slurp 'em up, even though you're still hungry, but ya still gotta good chunk of city to smash, and...Well ya just gotta chomp who ya can, then nuke breath the whole tunnel 'n move on to the next district! ...Ya know?
