I haven't been very active or creative lately, seeing as I'm a full time student and inching my way up to full-time worker as well, which doesn't leave room for many involved or detailed drawings. To get ideas, or at least record them until I do have enough time to do something better with them, I doodle, sketch and do chibis in my spare minutes. I don't like posting these sorts of things individually, 'cause they aren't really stupendous, but I still like to share. So now I'm putting them in "splatters" aka sketchdumps.

On with the show:

Top Left: Cable and Deadpool, drawn when I was veeeeeeery tired. I am still amused by it. Damn Nate and his Techno Organic body. What good is it anyway? Oh yeah, it's freakin' cool. And sometimes has tentacles, which Wade enjoyed. And you can't forget the WD-40...
Nate: "We do put on a show, don't we?"

Middle: The meat, as it were, of another Piper/Trickster sketch. Requisite fluff in an alley pic.

Top Right: A layout sketch of a "torture Len"/kiddies!pic I was gonna have Piper surrounded by the Rogues-as-kids, since his whole shtick is "The Pied Piper" with fewer creepy undertones, but I figured a.) Hartley deserves some good childhood, even if it is retroactive, b.) Cold can't hypnotize the little brats like Piper could if he really, really wanted c.) the polka-doted jacket is just too cute on lil' Hart, and d.) HAHHAAHHHAAAAAA torture Len!

Below That: Kyle Rayner and Connor Hawke, GL5 + GA2 = adorableness. This is actually a really old sketch from either really early this year or mid-late last year. This is actually my first Western Comics fanart, because I think it's harder to draw than manga-ish stuff. I have since worked on disabusing myself of that notion, because the official artists can't even draw their characters consistently, so why should I worry? Done without reference, because I hadn't had the Emerald Allies trade at the time, so please excuse any hair/costume inconsistencies. Also, poor Connor is missing some of his facial shading. Bad scanner, bad! Eh, I'll just ret-con it as being scar tissue from when he was shot. At least I remembered he was black(-ish, think Tiger Woods or Obama), which is, again, more than I can say for the official colorists.

Bottom: Cute rough of an idea that I've had ever since Shel came back in Booster Gold's series. Because eventually Ted WILL come back. (I do believe in comics, I do, I do!) And when he does, I will call shenanigans if Booster doesn't at least hug the guy. Shel'd like him too. I'm going to assume - because I don't have that much faith in DC - that they're gonna try and hook 'Shel and Ted up, thinking they'll appease the fans by going, "Well, she's basically a female Booster, why can't you be happy with that?" To this I reply: "Because that would just prove Ted's been in love with Mike for forever, duh, and now we're seeing him sublimate that onto a girl he technically just met. So just put them together already!" Though it would make for some interesting drama...if the twins weren't who they are, and Beetle wasn't a genius, thus ensuring good times to be had by all. Rip would be in on this, if Mike and Ted weren't his fathers.
