This is my first rat tail! And I would normally use less fur, but the client said 1 1/2 fur, 2ft material so I just followed that!

I don't really know what skeeters are, I just assumed it's a rat from a game or something!

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but skeevers ARE rat-like creatures, according to the game itself. On the loading screen you'll sometimes get this message:

"Skeevers are large, rat-like creatures that make their nests in caves, sewers, and underground warrens, etc. While easy to kill, they can be a challenge in groups, and carry debilitating diseases." (http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Skeever_(Skyrim))

I can see where they could resemble opossums, but they are definitely based off of rats, especially with the way that the people of Skyrim talk about them, and how they dig tunnels and infest homes.

It is also noted that skeevers were once smaller, so small that you could keep them as a pet, but recently evolved to be much bigger. This could be why there are seemingly no "actual" rats in Skyrim, like the ones from Oblivion.

Then the TES developers need to get their shit together lmao; rodents are(partially) defined by their teeth; Skeevers don't have rodent teeth.

Yeah not only does it say that it's a rodent on the wiki, but you have to remember that Skyrim is a game that calls what looks more like a real-life moose an elk in the game :/ The body is pretty much correct but the antlers are totally wrong. Skyrim's creatures aren't really accurate to real life unfortunately.
