just another wreck. a later model car to give my shots a little more variety. this is a 1:24th die-cast and I tried to make it look as accurate as possible to a car that would have been abandon after it broken down or ran out of fuel. all the windows are smashed out and I used real ground up glass around and in it and I even glued some around the windows that wouldn't have been able to open. then there are small wires around the back glass and windshield to look like the weather stripping was pulled out a little. I also have a wire coming out where the tail light is pulled out and the insulation has been stripped back a little and each copper strand painted a different color, so it looks like a real wiring harness.

in my post apocalyptic world, it wasn't one major disaster or something that ended civilization but a long series of events that effected each other. this world existed about 20 years into the future before it then went on for 10 or 15 more years descending in to chaos. so it takes place just far enough into the future to where the cars and engines of today could still be used for the most part (even with constant repairs and being converted to other fuels like wood gas or vegetable oil) but not so far that it becomes unrelatable. however it is far enough into the future where I can use ideas that are a little more sifi based, such as company's converting to using trucks and taxi's that were able to dive them selves, meaning hundreds of thousands would have lost there jobs. and even the idea of a system of robots with basic AI that were used by the military that are then hacked and used to kill the soldiers then were fighting among.

I just like the idea of making things as realistic as possible,
but its ok to get a little more... out there.
