Just a quick sideview I knocked out while watching the land before time. (the fourth one. I don't even really watch anymore i just use it as white noise.) I realized literally as soon as i put the first layer of charcoal on, that i should not have chosen a dragon who is solid black from nose to tail. But that wasn't even the hardest part. all of those tendril things on his face were the tough part and i hate them.

In any case, i rather like how this turned out, considering i haven't worked with charcoal in about a year and a half. And vine charcoal doesn't lend itself the the level of blackness i was hoping to get.

I hope to get more Temeraire fanart out there before the last book is released, because i really do like all of the dragons, even with the vaguest of descriptions to go on.
