I was one of those kids who grew up with the Care Bears as much as I grew up with My Little Pony, and I accept the weirdness of it and how little thought was put into the movies (most of all the second one) but it never stopped me from thinking they're adorable and liking the overall idea of themed animals. I know they existed originally as greeting card characters for various occasions and holidays but I also noticed there was never a Halloween themed one. It's not exactly a holiday you buy cards for but I thought for my own satisfaction I should invent a Care Bear for one of my favorite holidays! Plus, I think the bears look cute in my style.

I was considering calling him Scare Bear for the sake of a pun, but that's not really what his character is all about; which is the fun of Halloween from the costumes and spooky things to the candy. This drawing looks A LOT better in person; I did it with my Prismacolor pencils and unfortunately the scanner picks up the grain of the paper more than the actual colors. I'll replace this image with a new one if I ever figure it out.
