"Once upon a time, Before being what I am now...I played a small role in saving the world.
By forces greater than I and a mysterious prophecy, I was entrusted to watch over a precious jewel, which in itself was but a trinket...but when united with its two siblings, it would shine a light that could fight off the darkness no matter how strong that darkness became. The other two jewels were guarded by two allies that, while we could only speak to each other via my telepathy due to distance, were among the very first beings I ever dared to call my best friends. One was a maiden of steel and flame situated in a volcano; despite her (rather apt) mercurial nature, she took her job just as serious as any of us. The other, the only mortal of us three and probably the most hardworking because of it, was a proud warrior who despite being assigned to the coldest region in the land, protected her home and her family with a passion that I've not seen before or even since. I myself was assigned to a desert...which I admit was not pleasant in the least, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from doing from what I had to do.
After what seemed like forever, the prophecy came to be, my job finally finished. I remained in contact with my three allies for some time after that, but with one falling to the curse all mortals share and the other drifting off to live her own life, I was left to wander on my own, drifting from place to place with no goal to guide my veils.
I have since been given the task to watch over a new jewel - that being a haven for gifted minds and strong hearts. It is a job I take pleasure in, to be certain...but I'd be lying if I said I don't at times miss those old days when it was us three guardians, just us keepers of the light.
LeBoyle. Alma. I'll never forget you, my dear sisters."
Weird backstory for Delalune? Well, see, I finished Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia (Batonnage for you purists) just yesterday and was inspired to use three of the main 'boss' characters from the games for something revolving around Delalune since Cresselia...is one of the bosses, natch. It was tricky making said story not clash with this world setting too much and I may well have failed to do so but..well, here I go anyway.
