this is a little personal piece ive been working on and off of between commissions for the last few months , i finished it up tonight while waiting on the reply from a commissioner
this is a guide to how the werewolves work of my future comic , versipellis
ive got two different types
the wolfman, your generic classic monster werewolf
and the werewolf, a more intelligent breed
wolfmen kind of give werewolves a bad rep
this is all opinion, on how i like MY werewolves lol, so please dont argue with me on how you think they should be, you may of course offer suggestions, this is purely how i like them and how they work in my comic UwU
keep in mind werewolves are fictional beings and can look anyway you want them to,
and while i do have long drawn out explanations for why wolfmen do this and why werewolves do that, a tiny bit of it is a splash of just "because I like it like that and, rule of cool"
oh and i forgot to mention, they are both weak to silver ( and probably a few other things but w/e)
i do hope you guys enjoy my silly chart and thoughts on werewolves, i could honestly write so so so much more on them, werewolves mean alot to me and always have/will for various different reasons, they are also how i got into the furry fandom
so yeah, if you have any questions, ask them, ill get back to you when i can, just dont be rude lmao
also im super sleepy and tired of staring at this so/ mind the spelling mistakes if you see any haha
art by me, do not use, thank.

Well, werewolves in traditional werewolf legends were always either the anthropomorphic wolves, or humans turned into feral wolves. The wolf-man was first created in the silent-film era of Hollywood mainly due to them not having the technology or make-up to create true werewolves. Hollywood is also responsible for the idea of transmitting lycanthropy through bite. They borrowed the idea from vampire legends, so that they could continue making wolf-man sequels when they killed-off the wolf-man in each movie; before he dies, the wolf-man bites someone who becomes the wolf-man of the next sequel. Transmission of lycanthropy through bite was never part of traditional werewolf legends. One was either born a werewolf, or was cursed with lycanthropy by a witch.
So, what I was going to suggest would be that in your world of both types, that true werewolves might only be born, but when a human survives a bite from a true werewolf, they become a wolf-man, and that wolf-men will create other wolf-men when they bite humans. And perhaps true werewolves might see the wolf-men as 'diseased', 'lesser', or 'mistakes'.
As for the spelling error, there's a couple places where you confuse 'than' and 'then'. It's understandable, as people are usually taught to spell by sound, and we clip our vowels so much in American English that the two words are very similar when spoken. But, 'than' is a comparative; "X is more than Y". 'Then' is conditional and temporal; "If X then Y." or "Let's meet at 7:00pm. I'll see you then."
So, on your sheet, on the werewolf side, you have "Much stronger then wolfmen." and "Much more rare then the wolfman." In both places, it should be 'than' not 'then'. :3

ah, very interesting, i knew of the original tales biting wasnt really a thing, but i didnt know the reason for it in the movies, now it makes sense, haha , to make more money of course , i will definitely consider changing that up though, thanks for bringing it up ,the comics still into development, but shouldn't be to much longer, im very excited to start it
the werewolves in my comic do definitely view wolfmen as lesser beings and sometimes will put them out of their misery when they see them , some werewolves even make wolfman hunting a profession, having maybe been affected by it in some personal way, , as weird as it sounds for werewolves to hunt wolf men haha
and thankyou for helping me with those grammer mistakes, i was much two tired to notice them last night ( as i finished the sheet at about 4 lol)

Ooh, how interesting! A friend of mine writes werebeasts in a different sort of way, in that they look like regular humans with animal characteristics, but can turn more animalistic in the moon, both in appearance and behavior. It's always so interesting to see how each individual interprets werewolves and the like!
