The inevitable happens and Free goes into changeling queen breeding mode. However, to have a successful mating with a pony, a queen must take the form of the same type of pony, and because Free chooses Path as the sire, an earth pony mare is what she becomes. The mating is successful, and about a month later, she lays her first egg. Although Free was previously dismayed at the thought of having no choice in the urge to breed, she is actually quite excited at the prospect of being the mother of Path's child. Here Free has resumed mare form to proudly pose with her egg.
