I'm posting this here because I'm still very proud of it. Both of these characters are not human, they are Netherlings from A.G. Howard's Splintered book series, which I'd fallen in love with this spring. It was a thrilling read, based off of Alice in Wonderland in theme but dark like some Tim Burton stuff.
For a friend's birthday I drew Morpheus, the Blue Caterpillar (he is now a moth) fae (and one of the two main love interests/antagonists) and Chessie. I had a lot of fun interpreting these two into my style and going along with the description in the book. I hope to do more drawings of the characters, especially Chessie!
EDIT: You can buy this as a print on my Redbubble!

Thank you!! I had so much fun with it! I decided to try to work with a fiberoptic sort of effect with the stripes and his hair, which was interesting; I hope I pulled it off. I was kind of sad that it's only a trilogy, since the characters were so fun to read about, it kept me hooked and I couldn't put them down. At least we can expect the short story collection this winter. :)
