I hope you'll finish it, it seems very nice. If you want to put a similar character next to him have you tought about Fat Cat from Chip'n Dale Rescue Rangers? Or if it doesn't have to be necessairly Disney and you want to try a piratesque vibe, what about Tramun Clogg from Redwall/Martin the warrior?
